On this tour we will visit the coastal village of Nazaré, world-famous for having the biggest waves in the world, a paradise for surfers. It also has a rich fishing tradition. In Nazaré we will visit the São Miguel Arcanjo Fort and its lighthouse, the best viewpoint to see the giant waves of Praia do Norte. Afterwards, we will visit the Suberco viewpoint, the highest point in the village, with panoramic views of Nazaré Beach. The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré is located in Nazaré. Legend says that Vasco da Gama visited it before and after discovering the route to India. It is also common to see local women (Nazarenas) wearing the traditional seven-skirted dress and selling dried fish here. OPTIONAL: Along the way, it is possible to visit the medieval village of Óbidos, or the Alcobaça Monastery and even the Batalha Monastery. It is also possible to go to Fátima. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: - This is a private tour in a passenger car for up to 4 travelers! For group tours or if you want a larger or luxury car, contact us for a new quote! - All tours are flexible! Take your time (as long as you don't exceed 8 hours per day)! - Times to choose from: 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm - We pick up and drop off at your hotel! - We do not guide you inside the monuments.
