On this tour, we will explore the fascinating capital of Portugal. Founded over 3,000 years ago, it is one of the oldest cities in Europe. Lisbon has a history and culture dating back to the time of the Phoenicians, having been occupied by the Romans and Muslims. During the Age of Discoveries, it was the center of the world, from where the caravels set sail in search of the "new world". It's impossible to see Lisbon in just one day and on an 8-hour tour. Therefore, we recommend reserving two days. For the 8-hour tour in one day, we recommend: We will visit the Belém district and its iconic Belém Tower. Then the Monument to the Discoveries, the place from where the caravels departed to discover the "New World". In front of it, we will visit the Jerónimos Monastery, one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal and where Fernando Pessoa, Vasco da Gama, and Luís de Camões are buried. And of course, we can't miss the authentic and original Pastéis de Belém! Afterwards, we'll take a walking tour through Lisbon's neighborhoods: Alfama, Chiado, Baixa Pombalina, and Praça do Comércio. As we said, it's impossible to see Lisbon in an 8-hour tour. To see more places, we recommend reserving two days. Feel free to suggest what you'd like to visit at a more leisurely pace, and we'll prepare the itinerary together in advance. For day 2, we recommend visiting: São Jorge Castle, the Cristo-Rei Sanctuary and its beautiful view of Lisbon. We'll visit Eduardo VII Park and the beautiful and charming Avenida da Liberdade. There are numerous museums and cultural centers to visit: the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, the Tile Museum, the Belém Cultural Center, the MAAT (Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology), the Casa dos Bicos (where the José Saramago Museum is located), or even the Fernando Pessoa House.
